Major works at Hanger Lane roundabout

Major works at Hanger Lane roundabout
Between Wednesday 29 March and Sunday 4 June Hanger Lane at Park Royal is going to be completely resurfaced. These works, for Transport For London (TfL), will take place overnight (10pm to 5am) and will involve lane closures on the roundabout itself as well as slip road closures on all approaches on various nights. Signed diversion routes will be in place for each phase and TfL’s traffic control centre will be monitoring roads in the area and phasing traffic lights to ensure traffic is kept moving.

The roundabout is badly in need of resurfacing but whilst traffic management is out for these works, TfL is going to take advantage and undertake other vital improvement works to the infrastructure of the roundabout such as drainage facilities and road surface expansion joints. This means the roundabout will not have to be closed again in the future but all the works can be done at the same time. Once the roundabout is resurfaced it will also be relined with an improved layout with wider lanes for HGVs and improved signage.

Drivers should allow more time for their journey and check the TfL traffic status page – tfl.gov.uk/traffic/status
