The Small Grants Scheme is a funding programme for community projects that aim to embed art, culture and heritage at the heart of the developments planned in Old Oak and Park Royal.
OPDC have allocated £150,000 from the Great Place Scheme of which you can apply for a grant between £500 and £5000 to fund projects and activities in Old Oak and Park Royal centred around arts, culture and heritage. These grants will support amazing ideas generated by community organisations who are unlikely to be able to access other forms of funding. The OPDC will ensure that grant recipients will be supported throughout, with access to resources, surgeries and advice.
The objectives for this scheme are to:
- celebrate local talent and new partnerships
- harness the creative interests of local people and voluntary organisations
- empower local people and organisations to support and develop creative talent and ideas
Through this scheme the OPDC hopes to create a positive difference to communities by generating locally relevant cultural activity.

Getting involved
Applications for funding are open until December 2020 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Application guidance
To be successful in your application, your project must address one of more of the following priorities:
- encouraging new people, young and older in Old Oak and Park Royal to take part in arts and heritage activities
- raising ambition for arts and heritage groups and individual artists based in the area for delivering community activities
- developing skills and volunteering opportunities for local people to become active members of Old Oak and Park Royal community
- building the links between the local community and local businesses in Old Oak and Park Royal
