Our Impact

Park Royal Industrial Estate is home to 1,700 businesses and over 40,000 jobs and is a major economic contributor to London and the wider UK economy. It is a centre of excellence for several sectors ranging from food & beverages to the creative industries and includes both global brands and thriving SMEs.

Park Royal Business Group (PRBG) facilitates discussion and networking – face-to-face and online – amongst stakeholders of individual industries through our programme of events. These range from our Focus Food PRBG Breakfasts, which bring together manufacturers and the extended food industry value chain, to more informal events such as the popular annual Park Royal BBQ.

Connecting Park Royal businesses

PRBG, backed by Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), engaged with Openreach and then ITS Technology. The result was that London’s largest broadband ‘not-spot’ secured private sector investment to ensure that businesses across London’s largest Industrial estate could access affordable Fibre To The Premises (FTTP).

Step change in Park Royal fast broadband

Through a variety of relationships with retailers and service providers across the estate, PRBG has launched and maintained an employee reward card scheme. Anyone working on Park Royal Industrial Estate can apply for a Reward Card for free to access special deals and offers. This encourages local business to business activity.

Park Royal Reward Card

On several occasions PRBG has stepped in to support local businesses when there have been failures in the local power network. We are now working with the OPDC and other partners to mobilise more investment in the local power network and the introduction of smart grid technology to enable trading of surplus/ stored energy between local firms.
