Did you know there has been a Market in Acton since medieval times?. The 1920s and 1930s were probably the greatest times for shopping in Acton and in Crown Street there used to be an open and covered market. Then in 2009 local charity and social enterprise Action West London (AWL) (www.actionwestlondon.org.uk) restarted an open Market which it has run successfully Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday 9am-5pm, 50 weeks a year.

SPECIAL OFFER: AWL is a member of Park Royal Business Group and is offering Park Royal businesses an opportunity to run a stall for 1 or more days at the Market at discounted rates of £20 single or £35 double during the month of September. AWL provides covered stall tents and tables –or you can bring your own.
The award winning Market is located in the centre of Acton on the Mount outside Morrisons and St Mary’s Church and next to Acton High Street. Stalls vary each day and include ethnic hot foods, clothes, fashion, jewellery, fruit and veg; hand made cards, bric a brac, and specialist goods. The Market is a great community hub and is suitable for regular traders and for businesses who want to promote or test out products to the public.
There are also opportunities to promote your business or company by sponsoring individual Market days.
All surplus income from running the Market goes into AWL charity to support its projects with disadvantaged young people and adults in West London.
There is also a special Community Day being organised on Saturday 4th September from 9am-8pm which will include music, PA, dance, childrens activities and additional stalls.
