GLi Delivers Award-Winning Sustainable Warehouse in Park Royal

GLI’s much-anticipated PR1 unit on Abbey Road, already pre-let to local luxury food distributor, Classic Fine Foods, will be completed in the first week of February. The state-of-the-art facility has not only clinched the prestigious ‘Deal of the Year’ award at last year’s Industrial Agents Society (IAS) Award, but also promises to lead the way for a new era of industrial units that use sustainable technology to save occupier costs.

The 61,611 sq ft property boasts a future-proofed design with all-electric power, PV solar rooftop panels, on-site battery storage and 100% EV van fleet charging as standard. Like all GLi units, this warehouse is ready for the impact of the Mayor of London’s 2030 regulations including the need for logistics businesses to shift to all-electric van fleets. “We develop future-proofed properties to save occupier’s energy costs and allow their businesses to thrive in an all-electric future of solar power, battery storage and electric van delivery.” says David Johnson, CEO of GLi. “The 2030 plans for London and government legislation means that businesses in Park Royal and across the capital will have to comply with new rules for net zero operations. Our units deliver that.”

Classic Fine Foods, a leading luxury food distributor, has secured a pre-let for the unit. The unit is ideal for food occupiers, but also boasts the credentials suited to logistics, storage, and even film-related businesses.

The PR1 unit’s strategic location in Park Royal enhances its appeal, especially due to its proximity to Central London. Park Royal has long been recognised as a prime industrial location, offering businesses easy access to the heart of the city while providing ample space for development and expansion.

Moreover GLi’s next property, PR2, is already under construction on Abbey Road. It includes all the cost saving features of PR1 but is larger at 77,705 sq ft; already attracting interest from occupiers looking for modern space in Park Royal.

The completion of the PR1 unit will mark a significant milestone for GLi, demonstrating its commitment to future-proofed properties that will transform the fast-evolving industrial landscape. As businesses seek more flexible and cost-effective spaces, PR1 seeks to pave the way for the future of industrial infrastructure in greater London.

Gli is a joint venture between PATRIZIA, the global real estate fund and KSP, the London-based industrial developer and asset manager.
